Every Day's a School day!

I'll admit this was my mantra whilst I was working; well I did work in a school office, but now I'm on one big learning curve.

As you saw at the end of Wednesdays Blog, I've signed up to Stampin' Up!  - now have I done it for the discount, or to be a proper demonstrator only time will tell.

I have over the years thoroughly enjoyed watching my Stampin' Up! sisters on Youtube, and general card making videos have often caught my attention as well. So getting started making cards came quite easy.

Now comes the hard part; blogging, making a useable Logo, recording myself on video (without the hysterical giggling!), creating a customer base, running face to face classes, not to mention creating enough projects so I become widely known.

Wish me and "Nutty Haze Crafts" all the luck - give a "Like and Subscribe", and an occasional comment.

Happy crafting!

Midweek Madness

Well this week has been totally mad so far; what with shopping, trips to vets, visiting friends, hospital appointments, gardening, luncheon dates and general life I wonder how have I managed to craft at all!

Craft wise it's been all about "Harvest" this week.  The facebook groups, I'm a member of, have all had either challenges or swaps with Harvest as the theme. So I have made a variety of Harvest projects.

The first of these was for a Swap; the card had to be Autumn or fall themed with a fancy fold.  As I always think of pumpkins and different coloured leaves at this time of year, I thought I'd incorporate those.  So I'm hoping the card I created will cover the brief.

My base card was Copper Clay, and was in three pieces - the biggest piece was 5 1/2 inches x 11 1/2 inches, which I scored and folded on the long side at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, 8 1/4 and 11 inches.  The remaining 1/2 inch I used as a tab.

The other two copper clay pieces were both 2 3/4 x 11 1/2 and were both scored at the same measurements on the long side.  This made open ended boxes that I then joined together and added 2 1/2 inch square mats of "All about Autumn" dsp.

I then decorated  the cubes with pumpkins and leaves.  The sentiment came from "In your Words" - and has turned out to be appropriate, as I've created my own magic by becoming a Stampin Up! demonstrator.

I hope to share so much more of my journey with you all.

Happy crafting!

A Crafty Sunday

Most weeks I have a go at the Creative Colour Challenges over at https://creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com/2023/10/  .    All the colours chosen are in the Stampin up! palette.   This weeks colours were very sombre, so, with this in mind, I just had to go with a sympathy card.

My card base is Pebbled Path - cut to my usual size of 5 7/8 inches by 8 1/4 scored and folded, on the longer side, at 4 1/8 inches.

I then created a layer with pebbled path, and an embossing folder, added a piece of misty moonlight dsp (design seires paper), and some leaf die cuts in mossy meadow.

I popped all this onto my base using dimensionals, added a sentiment - and Hey Presto!!

I always enjoy entering these colour challenges - and have been lucky enough to have been picked as the winner in previous weeks.

I hope you like my card.

Do pop back again - I hope to be here most Wednesdays and Sundays.

Happy crafting!

Hello World

Hi, I'm Hazel and I've been crafting, hand made cards for about two years now.  I started super simple with a Stampin Up! Paper Pumpkin kit "Joy to the World".

                                                My first ever card

I stuck to the instructions, and made a card I was quite proud of.  Having never done anything like this before, I had little or no crafting equipment.

Since then my crafty equipment has exploded, and my cards have become much more intricate.

My most recent make, was also my first ever commission!

I am thoroughly enjoying my crafty journey, and look forward to you all joining me.
