Inspire Ink Blog Hop - Floral using "Hello Irresistible" dsp.

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Sorry I have not been around much just lately; illness has resulted in major surgery, and this has made me very uncomfortable.  So sitting blogging has had to be shelved, along with all my crafty goodies for a while.  I hope to be back up to par soon.

Today I am joining in with the April Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is Floral.  I don't tend to make many flowery cards; as my family is mainly male based, and consequently I do not possess many floral stamp sets, but I am rather partial to a nice dsp.

In view of my ongoing problems, I decided to keep my card super simple.  I used soft-sea-foam as my card base - cutting my card to my usual size of 5 7/8" by 8 1/4", and scoring at 4 1/8".  I then added a panel of Hello Irresistible dsp to the front.

Then I added a 2" panel on the left of my card, of another contrasting design.  My final flourish was to add some fussy cut flowers from the dsp, a little linen thread and some iridescent pearls.  My sentiment came form the retiring Charming Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you like my card.  It's time for you to get more inspiration from our Floral theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made. .

Happy crafting!

Inspire Ink Blog Hop - Easter Using Excellent Eggs

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I am joining in with the March Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is Easter.  Most years I make Easter Cards for family and friends, and I always find great pleasure in doing so.  So this card was an absolute dream to create.

As I had recently purchased the Excellent Eggs stamp and die bundle from the mini catalogue I thought I would ink it up.

My card base is Azure Afternoon, which I scored and folder at 1 3/8" and 4 1/8" on the long side.  I decided to use Bright and Beautiful dsp, as there are lots of bright spring time colours within the pack.

I used the metal plate 3D embossing folder, in the annual catalogue for my panel on the left of the card.  I also put a plain panel inside for my greeting.

Using the Excellent Egg dies I cut two eggs from the dsp and did a spot of paper piercing to get the desired look.  I printed my sentiment in Berry Burst ink, and as a finally touch I added some pastel adhesive backed sequins.

I hope you like my card.  It's time for you to get more inspiration from our Easter theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made.

Happy crafting!

Creative Colour Challenges #130

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?

Sorry I have been a little bit awol lately.  Illness has kept me from my crafting for a few weeks now, and writing blogs when there is very little being made is quite difficult.

Today I thought I would share with you the card I have made for this weeks Creative Colour Challenge#130.

If you would like to join in, here are the colours: www.creativecolourchallenges.blogspot.com , although you will need to be quick as it closes at 6 this evening.

This weeks card was not an easy make for me, as I literally only had one of the colours in ink, and very little of the three colours in cardstock and dsp.  But, I managed by using the smallest scraps of dsp and my last piece of tahitian tide cardstock.

I part weaved three 1/2" strips of dsp vertically and horizontally on my card-front, and then I added a sentiment in Old Olive.  My finishing touch was to die cut a Butterfly, using an unbranded die, from dsp and vellum.  Adding some In-colour Pearls was the final flourish.

I hope you like my card with this week's colours.  Why don't you see what you can make, you do not need a blog, you can simply upload a photograph of your card to take part

Child's Birthday using Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I thought I would show you the rather lovely card I have made for my Great Niece's Birthday.

I decided I would make use of the bright and beautiful dsp 6" x 6" pack, that is in the current annual catalogue.  I teamed it up with bubble bath cardstock, and some fresh fressia card.

Once again I used the fabulous Mini Alphabet dies from the current mini catalogue.  I stamped my sentiments using highland heather ink and the Charming Sentiments (159985) stamp set - both of which are available from the current annual catalogue.

For the final touches I have used the More Dazzle 6" x 6" speciality paper (161749) for the 7 and the candle - both unbranded none SU dies.  I then cut the letters using highland heather cardstock, and to give them a sparkle I added some wink of stella - something no craft room should be without!.

I hope you like my card.  If you wish to purchase any of the items I have used, you can do so by either sending me a quick email to nuttyhazecrafts@gmail.com or by going to www.stampinup.uk , and then searching for me by name.
