Inspire Ink Blog Hop - Summer

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I am joining in with the August Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is Summer.

I still am not back to my usual craftiness, and have made very little in the way of cards just lately.  But, I did make a rather fabulous card recently.  I have tried to remain crafting for my friends, and this was the card I recently made for one of my dearest when she celebrated her birthday.

The measurements for this card were all supplied by Linda Worth, at a craft retreat I attended back in June - but I believe the original idea came from Mixed Up Craft.  The card style is referred to as a tower card.

I used Pretty in Pink for my base card and dsp was from the In Colour family stack.  (163777). The decoration on the front was made using the Country Birdhouse Stamps and dies (163401).

I do hope you like my card, and that you will give it a try.

Now it's time for you to get more inspiration from our "Summer" theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made.

Inspire Ink Blog Hop - What's on your desk?

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I am joining in with the June Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is "What's on your desk?".  With fathers's day coming up on Sunday, in the UK, there was a card I was making for my lovely husband on mine.   Again I have used Take to the Sky designer series paper, but this time I have also used the stamp set and die bundle (163447).

My main card base is copper clay, and all the dsp comes from Take to the Sky.  The finished card measures 6" x 4"  folded but still fits neatly into a Stampin Up! C6 envelope.  I coloured my die cuts using my water painters and copper clay and smoky slate ink. I hope you like my card, and perhaps will give it a try.

Stampin up currently have a massive offer of a further 10% of Stamp and Die Bundles, which runs from the 5th to the 30th June 2024.  So now is the time to get yourself a bargain.

There is also 10% off their cut and emboss machines, until the end of June.  So there's plenty of bargains to be had.  If you would like a catalogue you can email me at nuttyhazecrafts@gmail.com and I will happliy put one in the post to you.

I hope you like my card.  Now it's time for you to get more inspiration from our "What's on my desk" theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made.

Inspire Ink Blog Hop - Using Take to the sky DSP

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I am joining in with the May Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is Embossing. I had a birthday card to make for a gentleman who has reached the grand age of 80, so I thought I would go all out!

I decided to emboss my sentiment using heat embossing and silver embossing powder, and all the panels of silver glimmer card were embossed using the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder.  So I believe I have well met the brief.

My card base is Night of Navy as that is one of the colours in the pieces of dsp I chose as my background.  I cut the cardstock to 5" x 11" and then scored and folded at 2" and 4".  Because I wanted to see more of the embossed silver I used a slightly larger border of 1/2" between the silver glimmer paper and the dsp .

I hope you like my card.  It's time for you to get more inspiration from our Floral theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made.

Countryside Inn Square Card and Gift Box

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Today I thought I would share something I have been working on.

I have made a card and gift box for a friends birthday, which I think you may all like.  My lovely husband has been envolved with this project as well, as he has taken the photographs for me.  So, we are talking super high resolution photographs, so let's hope they aren't too big!

I have made this design of card several times now, but originally it was from a video I had seen made by Jan B.  The box on the other hand is all my own design!

To make the card I used Boho Blue cardstock, cut to 5 3/4 " x 11 1/2" - scored and folded at 5 3/4" to make a square card base.  I then layered white cardstock and Countryside Inn dsp using a 1/4" border.  To make the raised folded piece in the middle I used a different piece of dsp cut to 5 1/2 " squared.  I then folded the corners in to the middle of the dsp, and folded the points back to touch the outside of the square.  The white scrap I stamped on was 3 13/16" squared.

Then it was just down to some decoration.  I made flowers using co-ordinating cardstock and gems.

The box, which holds some pretty Harding and Bayliss soaps, was created from a piece of white cardstock measuring 10 1/2" x 9".  I scored and folded it to make a box that was 2 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" high.  I decorated the sides and top of the box to match the card.

I hope you like my card, and will give it a go.

If you would like to recieve a new catalogue please email me at nuttyhazecrafts@gmail.com   and I will happily pop one in the post to you.

Nellies Stampers Team Challenge

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Once again I must apologise for being awol.  Unfortunately illness continues, so I intend to blog and craft when I can.  Lets hope I will be well enough to be here more often than not.

Recently my Stampin' Up Team Leader Heather Forgan of Nellie's Stampers challenged her team members to create a card.

We were sent a basic white card base, envelope, some new in-colour designer series paper, card , ribbon, and embellishments to play with.

To create our card we had to check out page 22 of the New 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up Catalogue, and all the card sketches that were shown on the bottom of this page.

Our mission was to choose a sketch and create a card using the supplies provided.  Then we had to take a picture and send the picture to Heather.  I can not wait to see what she does with them, and what the other ladies have created.

My supplies were all in the new Pretty in Pink, such a lovely shade - that well suits it's name.

Having completed my card I just felt it needed something else, so broke out a little bit of Granny Apple Green and a dotage stamp, and some wink of stella.

I hope you like my card, and will give it a go.

If you would like to recieve a new catalogue please email me at nuttyhazecrafts@gmail.com   and I will happily pop one in the post to you.

Inspire Ink Blog Hop - Floral using "Hello Irresistible" dsp.

Hello everyone, how are you all doing??

Sorry I have not been around much just lately; illness has resulted in major surgery, and this has made me very uncomfortable.  So sitting blogging has had to be shelved, along with all my crafty goodies for a while.  I hope to be back up to par soon.

Today I am joining in with the April Inspire Ink Blog Hop, with some of the talented Pootles Team members.  This month their theme is Floral.  I don't tend to make many flowery cards; as my family is mainly male based, and consequently I do not possess many floral stamp sets, but I am rather partial to a nice dsp.

In view of my ongoing problems, I decided to keep my card super simple.  I used soft-sea-foam as my card base - cutting my card to my usual size of 5 7/8" by 8 1/4", and scoring at 4 1/8".  I then added a panel of Hello Irresistible dsp to the front.

Then I added a 2" panel on the left of my card, of another contrasting design.  My final flourish was to add some fussy cut flowers from the dsp, a little linen thread and some iridescent pearls.  My sentiment came form the retiring Charming Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you like my card.  It's time for you to get more inspiration from our Floral theme, by having a look at what everyone else has made. .
